This is a shirt from RAF SIMONS 2001AW collection titled “RIOT! RIOT! RIOT!” As for Raf Simons, I think it’s attractive that they skillfully use both tight sizing items and loose sizing items, but this is the latter. It is slightly large for size 46. This 2001AW collection and the next collection are said to have prophesied the horrific events of the time. But I think it was probably not intended by Raf himself and I imagine he must have had a hard time too. The incident happened a little after the 2002SS collection…
ラフシモンズの2001年秋冬の「RIOT! RIOT! RIOT!」とタイトルがつけられたコレクションのシャツです。ラフシモンズといえばタイトなサイジングのアイテムとルーズなサイジングのアイテムを巧みに使い分けていることが魅力だと思うのですが、これは後者ですね。サイズ46にしては少し大きめです。それにしても、当時の凄惨な大事件を予言したと言われるこのコレクションと翌期のコレクションですが、ラフ本人にはそんな気はなかったでしょうから、結果としてそのようになってしまい彼も大変つらい思いをしたのではないかと想像します。事件は2002年春夏コレクションの少し後でしたから・・・。
